About Cat in the Bowl
Cat in the Bowl is an independent buying-guide site about kitchen trash cans. That covers sensor cans, pedal cans, two-bin recycling cans and the pull-out kind that hides in a cabinet.
A trash can is something you touch many times a day. We want to help you pick one that fits the floor space, holds enough between trips to the curb and keeps smells where they belong.
What we cover
Our guides cover kitchen cans from brands like simplehuman, EKO, iTouchless, Glad, SONGMICS and Rev-A-Shelf. We sort them by size, lid type, shape, finish and how they handle recycling.

How we work
We read the specs, the sizes and the maker's own information for every can we cover. We also look at what owners often report after months of daily use.
